trucker asked:
I am kind of restricted from exercise due to my job. I am a truck driver so i cannot make it to a gym. So what I am asking if anyone has found a diet that works and that is not a “Fad” diet. I would like to lose about fifty pounds. My diet now consists of mainly salads, water, and diet soda. But the problem as stated as before is lack of time to exercise. The diet that i am looking for would be something that would boost my matabolism that way in tuen i would lose wieght. Thanks for any suggestions

You’re not gonna get very far without exercising. Losing 50 lbs. by restriction alone will take a LONG time.
By best advice is to eat in moderation(have 4-5 small meals), eat food in all food groups…. dont try to limit yourself to any one group. also by eating small meals consecutively does boost your metabolism.Your body needs the energy, but you just got to know when to stop. Ad try to at least do a little exercise ..like incorporatin walking for at least 15mins. into your daily routine
I also agree that without exercising you chances of success are not too good. One thing I would suggest is stop with the diet pop, and all pop together. A friend of mine stopped and lost quite a bit of weight, but he also exercised some. Also make sure your taking it easy with the salad dressing.
loosing wieght without exercise is very hard. maybe once in a while, try walking just ro burn the extra fat. and for food diet, i suggest less rice than usual, but don’t starve yourself, since you are often in the truck and seldom walking, you don’t need too much energy to burn compared to walking around.
Salad can have hidden fats, watch the dressing, eat fresh fruit as a snack replacement…lots of veg.Protein is always good eat as much as you want. Cut out carbohydrates…or replace with whole wheat alternatives. To keep metabolism up eat regularly but small portions, and snack on fat free items e.g dried fruit, nuts …
ive got the best diet for you and it works if you will give it time. get off that starvation thing your on because your only going to gain the weight back. you have to slowly wean yourself off of any fattening foods you like and replace them with sweet fruits and all the vegetables you can eat. you can eat all you want and if you choose to eat something that is fattening say 3 times a week you dont have to worry about it because your still going to lose the weight. it takes longer but what your doing while your losing the weight is your changing your eating habits and in whatever time it takes you wont even think about or crave anything fattening anymore. you dont have to go to a gym to exercise. when you get out of your truck do some pushups or jumping jacks or knee bends or if you dont want to do that you can walk. walk a mile up the street and back to your truck, if you do that everyday and eat three healthy meals a day you will get to the weight you want and feel so much better. in fact i guarantee that if you start today and fill yourself up with fruit and vegetables first, then eat whatever you want to feel full and take that mile walk down the road, tomorrow your going to feel so much better you wont believe it. so good luck dude and ten four outta here
if losing some pounds of any description is what you want then I used a great website and coach who helped me. They were very friendly and gave me lots of great advice. I needed to lose 40 pounds and I did so fairly easily. The website is once you fill in your details then you can see the full range of products they have. The products really work and you feel great whilst losing weight, its all nutrition based.
I lost all my weight in less than three months and they have helped me to keep it off. I would definitely recommend using them, the tips you get and encouragement are excellent (their advice and time is FREE). I am still with them so I stay healthy. If you just want to buy the products and not use the coaching then you can do that aswell, there is a link in there to email them so you can tell them you just want to buy and not speak to anyone. The owners will even advise you via email on what to purchase depending on what you want to lose, my sister did it this way (she was more self conscious than me) and lost 76 pounds in less than five months. These guys are just great, try them.
Hope this helps, Stephanie
The best regimen would for fat loss, not weight (ie: one that retains muscle, while you loose fat) would be one with 5 smaller meals. Your protein source should be at least 20 grams in each, with at least 1.5 x 20 of carbs during the times you are most alert. Maintain most of your complex carbs at those times.
Even if you cannot get to the gym, take for dumbbells with you (at leas 25 lbs) as you complete a full body workout with them even without a bench.
Consuming smaller carbs late evening and the with protein will allow carbs to digest and not store in the fat cells. Most of all, ditch the coke for water.
I have lost 50 pds on the Herbal Magic program and I have kept it off for a year.
Great program!

Here is a place that reviews lots of weight loss programs, dieting aides, supplements and so on. Even has categories like diabetes, low fat and hypnosis. Pretty cool site.
