This is the only pc in the home so it is not “networked. Ihave a lynksys router, and the laptop is running Vista. I can get the router to put out a strong signel, but cannot connect to the internet. Now if I plug the cable modem directly into the laptop it works fine when its wired. I have read something about SSID’s matching and using a flash drive to get something, but I cannot locate my flashdrive, and I know when Ihooked my home network up I had called lynksys and I didnt have a flash drive but we were able to still get everything up and running. This is a differnt situation though since I only have the laptop I am wanting to use, its my uncles, and at 67 his very first computer so he knows ZIP. thanks for anyhelp anyone mayhave for me.
