They are tiny but very annoying, in my kitchen, lounge and bathroom. (I know – bathroom!?!)
Anyway, i have sprayed, which gets rid of the ones you can see but then more come back.

I have also tried the ant traps where they take poison back to the nest and it is supposed to kill the entire colony. The traps have been out for over a week and the ants are taking the bait, but it doesnt seem to be killing them!

Any ideas?

I am in the process of buying a home. I have already realized one of my biggest problems will be combating ants in my new home. They are called pavement ants. I do not have the money to invest in professional pest control, therefore what is some DIY solutions to getting rid of ants for as long as possible?

I know that I can buy those little ant traps, but there has to be something out there that is more useful.

Suzie asked:

I always have lots of ants around my home! I put ant traps out, and spray, but more keep coming from my nieghbors yards, who by the way do nothing to get rid of the ants! They just let them crawl all over their yards! I can see them coming along the sidewalk to my house! I used to use diazinon granulas, which worked great, but they took it off the market! I haven’t been able to find anything on the market, that works as good! Does anybody know of any product that works good to kill the ants! Right now I’m using Terro traps, but it seems to take weeks, and the ants are still there!
