i have had problems with ants right outside my backdoor for years now and every year they get worse and worse. I have tried everything you can think of to get rid of them e.g. hot water, ant powder, ant spray, cleaning products, mint leaves, bay leaves, vinegar ect. But they just get worse and worse. Please help as they are starting to get into the house and the kitchen and we have a dog so we can’t put anything dangerous to pets down. Please please help. Thx

We have an ant problem in our house (mostly kitchen) and I haven’t had any luck getting rid of them. They are the small ants and they seem to get into our recycle bin the most (especially if something sweet like discarded soda can). I can’t seem to find an entry point so I can’t target a specific area. I have put white vinegar in a couple bowls and that seems to help somewhat but I would like to get rid of them permanently. Has anyone had any luck with a household product? We have no kids or pets, so that is no issue.
How to do.
Recently I took in my cousin’s dog who she did not care for the care much because I recently found out she had fleas so I treated her to get rid of the fleas. Then today I noiced my other dog had a flea on him. So my question is, how can I treat my other animals(dogs and cats) from the fleas and also the carpets and etc? I really can’t afford to spend over $100 on flea meds right now. Any advice? Thanks
