My mother said that she has heard of people placing black walnut limbs under their couch or other furniture to get rid of fleas, but has never tried it. I googled “black walnut limbs for fleas” but only came up with capsule form of black walnut being given to dogs. Nothing about the limbs under furniture. Has anyone ever heard of this or know if it works?

Walnut has tannic acid, insects don’t like tannic acid, neither do a lot of plants. The problem with fleas is they breed very fast, die quickly (about 5 days). What you experience is the new fleas, the cycle goes on until all the fleas are dead. So, what ever you do, continue the treatment for about two months.

I have no pets, no open food containers, and keep my house very clean. For the first time in 28 years I ‘ve found at least 20 ants per day running around the floor. I cannot afford to pay an exterminator. I want to buy a good “anti-ant” product. Please help. Thank you.

I read that if you draw a chalk line where they are coming in, they will not cross it. I am not sure why, but it was one of those natural remedies.

A Rihanna “how to” makeup tips video tutorial inspired from Take A Bow. Use a concealer under the eyes, around the nose and to cover any imperfections. Next use an all over foundation applied with a sponge – choose a foundation slightly lighter than your natural skin tone. Apply a blendible powder all over concentrating on the nose and chin area. Dust a bronzer all over the face with a large makeup brush to knock off any loose powder. Highlight the top of the cheek with a high lighting or glimmer powder. Apply a brown/pink blush to the cheekbone line and blend up towrds the temple. Apply a golden yellow, shimmer eyeshadow to the entire lid, right to the corner of the eye. Use a very light yellow shimmer eyeshadow just below the brow line. Aplly a warm brown eyeshadow along the lash line and in the crease of the eye with a eyeshadow brush. Line the top lid with a kohl black eyeliner as close to the eyelashes as possible. Line the inside rim of your eye with the same black kohl eyeliner and then underneath the lash line, all the way to the corner of the eye. Lightly smudge the top and botton line with a eyeshadow sponge brush. Apply black mascara to the top and bottom lashes, concentrating on the outside corner lashes. Apply a plumbing lip gloss to the lips and then line them with a lip line rthat will match your lip stick. Fill in with a matching lip gloss and then apply your red lipstick all over.
