We tied a string around its leg so it wouldn't fly away, and we didn't notice but the leg got infected and the whole leg fell off!! But after a while, he just used one of his legs to perch when sleeping, and i think he was just fine. I'm pretty sure that after a while, your duck's leg will be fine too.
