Whats rude about the word Wire?

I was just using an IM service called “Userplane” its used on myspace and other sites as an IM and it replaced the word wire with **** when i mentioned i had a barbed wire bracelet. But with other coarse swear words it was fine. Any idea?

    I don’t have a good answer for you. It could have been a momentary glitch with their filters, or maybe the filters are confusing wire with some other word. I once did a search for some legal information from the California Penal Code. The word penal was blocked. Go figure :-)
