Purchaced a old forclosed farmhouse. The weeds were high all around the house. Have done much cleaning up outside and inside. No sign of any more mice, worried about when weather warms up where we may see snakes, expecting a new baby early June. Worried.

First you”ll need to make sure there are no snakes or nests in the attic or walls
Then look for possible places where the may be entering the house ( open holes in the eves or where the house has seperated from the roof maybe )
Then you will need to seal those holes so no more snakes can get in
Don’t worry about the snakes..more than likely they are just garder snakes..They will keep insects & rodents out of your woodpile & outbuildings. They will stay out of your way.
We found a shedded snake skin in our attic when my husband went to get the Christmas decorations.
We haven’t seen it, nor heard anything up there since we found the skin.
The only suggestion that I have is to screen your vents, by the roof, vents in crawl space.
I guess you can get a cat and let it go up there every once in awhile to see if it catches it. I really don’t know!
