I tried this recipe and I wasn’t satisfied with the results. Was it suppost to have the texture of a plastic bag? Mabey I just made it wrong, but it did have a great flavor, just not the texture. It was fun to make, mabey i’ll try it again next week. *Sigh*

Not all Dango is made of tofu. It’s also made with just rice flour and water.

It is a sweet liquid rice seasoning. It is kind of like sweet version of cooking wine or sake. You can find it in specialty Japanese food stores or sometimes in regular grocery stores.

Not all dango is made of tofu. i made dango with sweer rice flour, and water. But this isn’t a bad way to make dango.

our sugar, like our flour, is bleached, so ya normal sugar should work or i think you can buy natural sugar like that =D hope i helped some! good luck with your cooking!

I’m American and love dango. They have a rather plain flavor. I had no idea there was tofu in them. They taste like sweet dough balls, plus whatever you use to flavor them. I’m not wild about the sweet soy sauce, but they’re good with black sesame or green tea.

the green one is dyed by green tea or food coloring. white is left alone, and red is dyed by red bean or…food coloring~ :D
