How to make money with your own Manga or Anime GenkiJapan.Net

Make money with your own manga or anime, is it possible?
I’ll go through business ideas to hopefully get you noticed by the big anime and manga studios as well as suggestions for making money online or through Youtube.

I started my first business at 13, so you’re never too young and now is the time to do it. Five years ago the internet wasn’t mature enough to do this, in 5 years time all the big companies will have taken over. If you want to draw manga or anime, want to write computer games for Nintendo or even be in a rock band now is the time to do it!

Be genki,

Richard

You’re pretty inspirational Mr. Richard, to be able to devote some time to inform others on how to make some of their dreams come true. Thank you for informing the young generation that nothing is impossible and to just got for it. 5/5

who knows, you could start out a a partnership instead of a sole trador. That’s what me and my friends did. One friend does the story line, another does the writing, the other does the setout, and I do the drawings!

    You’re really amazing, Mr GenkiJapan.
I’ve always wanted to start a manga with my friend. My friend does the drawing and I come up with the storyline. We never went ahead with it of course, because we always assumed it wouldn’t be worth trying.
I am taking your first advice though. Once I’m out of college, I am going to try and work in Japan to teach English to young kids for a couple of years. It will be a great way to learn some Japanese!! :)
Thanks for your awesome videos and advice!

In that case find out what you would like to do in manga or anime and get really, really good at it. If it’s really what you want to do there are many more jobs in the industry. Writing? Voice acting? Editing? Marketing? Think about your ideal future job, what would you love to be able to do all day everyday? Then work at becoming the best in the world at it!

  24. GenkiJapanNet - January 30th, 2009 at 1:59 pm

I talk about it in the video (near the end) :)

  25. GenkiJapanNet - January 30th, 2009 at 1:59 pm

Good question. In that case you set up a blog or do a Youtube video of you telling the story and asking other people to illustrate it for you. They can either do a youtube “video response” or a reply on your blog. You’ll both own the copyrights then. You never know you might just join up with someone to make you the Lennon & McCartney of anime or manga!
