How to get candle wax off a glass coffee table?

jpbischke asked:

I have some candle wax that spilled onto a glass coffee table and sat overnight. I’m looking for the best way to remove the candle wax without damaging the coffee table?

You can use an ice pack or even a bag of frozen vegtables let it sit on it for about 15 mins to half an hr and then take a small putty knife and lightly run it under the wax taking care not to scratch the table top

Use an ice cube to chill and harden the wax, and then use a razor blade to scrape the hardened wax off. They have special blades at paint stores that painters use to get paint off of windows.

after you’ve scraped up most of it with a plastic spatula, use a blow dryer on high setting to re-melt the wax, and a paper towel to wipe it away.

Use a razor blade scrapper and some glass cleaner. The cleaner will prevent the glass from scratching.
It really is very easy and does not leave marks.

Why don’t you try some hot water to soften the wax then wipe it off with a rag? If it is glass I would avoid scraping it with anything metal, like a razor blade.
