I recently interviewed for a position which required me to fly down to a different state. The interviewer was aware that I was in the process of moving to the area. Because of the cost of the trip, I made sure my resume was polished and all letters of recommendation were included. I even brought examples of past work to showcase my talent. The interview went well and she even gave me a business card of the new location that she had in mind for me to work at. She said she would contact me in 2 weeks to let me know additional details.
3 weeks later I thanked her for the interview opportunity and inquired on my application standing. She said she had not reached a decision yet but would let me know when she had.
Now it is 2 weeks after my initial contact. So in total it has been 5 weeks. I wrote her another email to get an update on my status since I will purchase a home accordingly. And she has yet to follow up on that email or the phone message that I left 2 days ago.
My two emails were upbeat and by no means pushy. I simply need to know one way or the other so that I can make proper arrangements to move or seek alternative employment opportunities.
This is the first time an interview process has ever taken this long or has been so disorgaized on the part of the hiring company.
Ordinarily I would not stand for this treatment but I really like this job and I am returning to work after taking a year off for maternity leave.

Dont wait any longer its not worth it you did what you could. I think she is just playing with you and if she is doing it now she might do it if she accepts you in the job.
Look for anther job that you think you really enjoy.GOOD LUCK! I hope you find a great enjoyable job!
I would not wait or ask anymore, it would sound like your begging. You don’t need her. Try to find her competitor and get a job with them. Try to take business from her. Make her wish she would have tired you on the spot!!!!!!!!
You go get her girl!!!!!!!!!!!!!
PS: And smile big all the way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
