Heather C asked:
I have a large glass jar that previously had a candle in it. I removed all the excess wax, but now there is this thick glue at the bottom where the wick was. I was always able to remove this glue in other candles with hot water, but for whatever reason, this glue isn’t coming off. I want to use this jar for my wedding for a sand ceremony. I tried using non-acetone nail polish remover which didn’t work. Any ideas?

Try warming it in the oven. It seems to work for me generally.
Could you heat up the jar until the glue melts, then scrape it off? If that doesn’t work try paint thinner or something…
As a long shot try freezing the jar and see if the glue will either peel or chip off then.
goo be gone not sure spelled it right Wal-Mart sells it in housecleaning section, paint department, automotive dept I have seen it in all these sections also Lowes sells it it really helps to
I agree, Goo Gone is a lifesaver! We always keep a bottle of it in our kitchen. It works best with a heavily textured rag (like a washcloth.) Good luck!
