How do you make a hole in a coffee bean without shattering it?

how to make a wire bracelet
syg asked:

How do you drill/puncture a hole in your average coffee bean without breaking the thing? I’m going to make a bracelet out of them, but I can’t string them if there’s no hole obviously.

I’m thinking about soaking them in water and then pushing a needle or wire through, then letting them dry back out in the sun. Will that work?

Thank you so much.

Ask the pest of coffee bean. It drills the most precise, tiny hole in the coffee bean.

Yeah, I think soaking them would work. I did it a while ago but I can’t remember how. Sorry I can’t help more =/

hai! better first give the beans a light coat with ‘quick fix’ a transparent adhesive ( u may try with ‘fevycol’ or similar good adhesives of transparent nature.).quick fix is a cheaper one, highly transparent, verygood adhesive, dries in minutes suites your purpose.then you can puncture thin hole without breaking them and through the hole run plastic thin thread.the work when finished woud be very nice and attractive.take care with adhesive coated beans not to get sticked with each other or to your body before they get dried up.read the instructions on the usage of the adhesive -they give on the packet.wish you best of luck . soaking in water makes them more tender and get broken easily.after drying they become spoiled-i think
