How Do I set up the Netgear WGR614 wireless internet router with my pc if i have a cable modem?

How Do I set up the Netgear WGR614 wireless internet router with my pc if i have a cable modem???????? Do I have to get rid of the modem for my cable internet or what is there a way i can hook this router up with out getting rid of anything?

    Let’s start at teh wall, plug the cable modem in, then plug the router into it and then the computer into the router. Turn them on in order..modem, router, then lastly the computer and you should have internet working. Give each device a chance to get up and running for a couple of minutes before you turn on the next one.
