funnybne asked:
My daughter has seen some snakes in her driveway every morning when she comes home from work. She’s terrified of them as am I. Her husband has tried mothballs but no luck. When she pulls in the drive, they head for the garage and shes afraid to pull her car in, she thinks they go into a wall in the garage. I know snakes are around but we really need to repell them. Any answers? Thanks

Yuck. I don’t like snakes either. Get this ball thing that vibrates and bounces around the garage or in my case the basement. It scares them off.
Snakes are looking for food and housing. If you have bird feeders, you need to eliminate them because they are attracting mice. The snakes like a constant supply of mice close by.
Snakes like to find a hiding place that makes them feel secure. You need to eliminate all piles of brush, old wood, junk and tall grass around your property.
You need to go around the outside of the garage and house and examine the foundation area for holes and cracks where the snakes can enter the garage. Plug these up with cement.
The next step is mental. You need to get a mental picture that snakes are really just long skinny frogs. They are as natural and non threatening as frogs and they will “get out of Dodge” as soon as they sense you. They do give me a start when I’m startled by one…but then I calm down because I know they are just “long skinny frogs” and I’m safe.
There is a product I found called “Snake Away” really and it does work. We have copperheads and water moccasins so believe me it has to work.
