How can I remove candle wax from my water glasses?

C* Moonlight Dreamer asked:

We had recently experienced a power failure in the house and I quickly put 6 long candles on my long, water glasses for that case.

But now the candles have melted down and the wax is stuck on them! I cannot throw them away because they are not even mine… They belong to the owner of the house.

How can I remove them? Is there any special solution I can use or the only solution is to scratch them off?

Run warm/hot water over them and gently scrape the wax out.

Try putting them in the freezer for an hour or so.

Put the glasses into the freezer.

When they are really cold, you can scrap the wax off easily.

You can use a hair dryer to heat the wax. I know that it works really well on brass candlestick holders.
