How can I effectively clean candle wax off thin, small drinking glasses?

Lady M asked:

I have these small drinking glasses that were just big enough to put a tealight candle at the base. They’re about 8cm -10cm high.
How can I effectively and safely clean off the candle wax? It’s settled at the bottom of the glasses but there are spots of wax all over.

pour very hot water (not boiling) and scrape gently with spoon or butter knife until it has all come loose, then run through dishwasher

Put them in the freezer for about an hour. Then when you take them out, just immediately pop the candlewax out with a butter knife and also the drops on the side. I do it all the time.Works great.
