Get a spray bottle. Fill it with half water half white vinegar and spray where you see ants or think ants may appear from.

Go to supermarket and buy some Semolina. It is a food product. Put it in jam jar lids, and leave for ants to get. They love the taste, but cannot digest it, so they die. Cheap, safe and easy to use.

squish them. ants have a scent that the other ants smell. they have a warning scent or something when they get squished. for instance, if you kill a whole line of ants, you’ll see they’ll gradually stop coming. there are messenger ants that go back to the hive and tell the other ants that it is safe and there is food some place. if the messenger ants don’t come back, they know it’s not safe.

Ants avoid cinnamon, and don’t go anywhere near it. You can sprinkle cinnamon around the house, where you think the ants are coming in (e.g. by doors, windows etc). Cinnamon can get a bit messy though around the house, but it’ll be easy to vacuum up. But you could also use cinnamon sticks which will avoid the mess problem. I used to have an ant problem in my house, (there is an ant colony in our front yard right by the windows and doors) and I put a few cinnamon sticks around the house, and the number of ants in my house seemed to drastically decrease within the week! Good Luck with the ant problem! (:

i had problems with ants really bad, i had a neighbor next door said to put corn meal around the house and over the whole yard for about 1 or two months. he said they didn’t have things like that long ago and to do what they had. also make sure no food it left out and no sugar and no water any where, it helps. the ants are coming from outside and looking for food. the corn meal that you buy at the store is cheap and it did work the ants left our yard, when i see them coming i put cornmeal out . that’s only been two time in a very long time. see they eat the corn meal and take it back to the nest and others eat and drink when they do they explode

Talcum powder works well, just sprinkle it where you see the ants, preferably make a sort of barrier with it. They wont cross the line!!
