We have an ant problem in our house (mostly kitchen) and I haven’t had any luck getting rid of them. They are the small ants and they seem to get into our recycle bin the most (especially if something sweet like discarded soda can). I can’t seem to find an entry point so I can’t target a specific area. I have put white vinegar in a couple bowls and that seems to help somewhat but I would like to get rid of them permanently. Has anyone had any luck with a household product? We have no kids or pets, so that is no issue.
How to do.

Ant powder.
I’ve had many ant problems.
1. keep everything in zip lock bags.
2. keep everything in the fridge.
3. Clean.
4. Citrus cleaners, raid, spray.
The trick of spraying is do it weekly and behind ovens dishwashers, under pull-out drawers, fridges.
Think like a bug!!!
The trick of spraying is not to do it weekly. The trick of spraying is to use the right spray, at the right time, in the right area.
There’s a good chance you have the dreaded Odorous House Ant. Baits and sprays that the average consumer can buy just won’t work, period.
Argentine ants are a little easier to get rid of because they tend to like bait more than Odorous House Ants, but not much more.
Here’s the real trick: Start calling pest control companies. Find one or two who are completely confident they can rid your home of ants 100% and guarantee they can keep the ants from re-infesting.
Then ask the companies how much extra it is since you already have ants inside. If the price difference between the initial (first) treatment and your regular treatment is significant, they aren’t sure they’ll be able to do it… find someone else.
