i use this stuff called Terro (ant poison stuff), and you can get it at stores like wal-mart or target, and ants will come and eat it and take it to the other ants and it will kill all of the ants

A pet gecko might eat them.

first make sure all your food and food crumbs are un reachable to the ants. then either go to town with the bug spray or do what i have down just buy a couple boxes of salt table salt and pour the around the walls and windows of the entire apt. just make a wall of salt all the way around every wall and door and window, this will keep the ants and other bugs out for sure. i do this and i don’t have bugs in my place no matter what.

Do you feel infested and itchy like I did? I just moved into an apartment in CA and found ants had moved in the same day. I tried all the helpful remedies from friends: salt, vinegar, spices, etc. The only thing that really worked was the insecticide. They aren’t costly and there are brands you can’t even smell (just be sure that you’re still opening windows when using it). I haven’t seen a single ant since I used it and it should last another 6 months. Sorry if you were looking for a natural alternative and good luck!

Set out uncooked oatmeal. They will eat it, swell up and die. It is not harmful to pets.

Try boric acid. You can find it in most store and it’s inexpensive as well as effective. You mix it with some sugar water, dab it were the ants appear, they collect it and take it back to the nest and it wipes out the whole colony. As long as you don’t have kids or pets that lick the floor and baseboards it will be fine to use. I’ve also had limited luck with ginger powder but that works best outside on ant hills.

Tell your uncles to get back together with them and they will all move out.

Instant Grits work quite well.Just apply some where you see the Ants.If you can see them carrying it away, then it’s doing it’s job. That job is to carry it back to the Nest, to the Queen. When it’s eaten, just like Oatmeal, it will swell up, and cause the Ants to burst. The difference is that it’s easier to carry than Oatmeal. And, it’s not toxic.Hope this helps !
