    burn in hell fret buzz

  17. dimebagpipebike - April 1st, 2009 at 4:31 pm

love/hate relation btween low action and fret buzz. Low will be more playable but less sustain and more buzz, slightly higher action will be less comfy to play but no buzz. For distortion you can use a low action with a lil buzz, i set my guitars with 1.8mm action with some buzz on the higher strings, not rlly noticiable on the amp and they play nice. I realize thicker strings helps with buzz: Ernie Ball 11-54 less buzz than Daddario 10-46. I say, if you want low action, learn to live with buzz.

  23. riverstrat - April 10th, 2009 at 4:39 am

Dumb question , but can I use the same numbers and take them at the same frets on my LP’s and Strats ?
I live in the desert , all my guitars develop buzz, I just checked 7th fret distance on two and they seem to be ‘back bowed’ as you described it on the acoustic.
Does the dry air **** out moisture and bring on the back bow….?

  24. Vdrums14 - April 11th, 2009 at 5:14 pm

Good video, but it’s totally dampened by the constant “fret buzz” bs commentary.

  25. rawrzlol - April 12th, 2009 at 9:00 am

Very helpful, but ****. For that insane amount of work and tools, I’ll head to a guy like Eric and pay him good money not to **** it up like I would.

And the “FRETTT BUUUUUHHHHZZZZZZ” guy can go choke on whale dong.
