Does anyone know any remedies for getting rid of ants?

We got a BAD ant problem, and we got a bunch’a cats, dogs, and well.. we just have a lot’a animals.

So I’as wondering if anyone knows of any ‘remedies’ for getting rid of ants? Preferably something that’d be harmless to our cats and dogs.

    Hot boiling water poured over the nest.
    Thats really the only way you will do it without using chemicals.
