Sometimes drinking a caffeinated beverage works of course you might consider caffeine a drug. I personally put ice packs on my head where the pain is. I have a friend who swears if you drink a cup of Gatorade it makes your headache go away but I have never tried that.

cool compresses to your head and neck dark room and rest. sometime rubbing alcohol on the cool cloth helps and plenty of water.

Hit your knee with a hammer. You’ll forget about your head real fast.

i get serious migraines and i take a nasal spray called immitrix. it lessens the intensity of the migraine usually within 10-15 minutes if not completely abolishing it.

it’s noted though that you should not take immitrix if you are on any ssris as you can have a bad reaction called “serotonin syndrome”

it’s been a life saver for me, really.

i would also like to add that if your headaches are genetic and are not stress related, most home cures won’t work. it’s unfortunate. I’ve tried thousands of remedies. everything in the book. migraines were just passed down to me i guess. the best thing you can do is to get a cold compress (not too cold!) and sit in a hot bath in the dark. it soothes the nerves in my head.

You can use your thumb and your pointer finger to squeeze the skin in between your thumb and your pointer finger. press where it hurts the most until it releases. Do this on both hands and do it hard, if its really tender, its cause your headache.
It works I do it all the time.

your body has probably gotten immune to the other over the counter drugs you mentioned esp.if you take them alot!
you need to see your dr for the answer to why you are having these freqent headaches…
could be something simple and then again it could be something Very serious !!

meantime use a heating pad maybe it will help ease the pain!

My experience for immediate relief is to put my clean thumb in my mouth and apply pressure to the center of the roof of my mouth. It works every time.

    Several remedies:
There is a pressure point on the bottom of your big toe that can help relieve headaches.
    Herbal tea.
    Hot shower.
    A nap.
Drink more water (you may be dehydrated).
Head On actually works and is homeopathic.

Try Tiger Balm Ointment is a chinese ointment that has a strong smell it smells like Vick’s vapor rub, rub some on your temple and you can go to sleep but if not that alone will alleviate your headache. My mom and I have actually used it!

ok coming from my experience i get migraines a lot and they are to the point where it hurts so bad that i throw up. Before I went to the dr. and got on imitrex, i use to try to sleep for at least 15 Min’s. some times cat naps help out a lot. plus i would watch what you eat or drink like some foods might be triggering your headaches and also drinks are important if you drink coffee or soda on monday and not tuesday then you might have a headache on tuesday or Wednesday. what would help me once i would get them is to sleep for a little bit, there is a pressure point in your hand right between your thumb and pointer finger if you press on that it takes it away for a few minutes, but every person is different and i am no doctor. Last thing that i could say is that a cool cloth and dark room helps out, BUT TRY THE SLEEP THING IT WORKS :)

I was getting migraines daily for most of last year and no tylenol or advil or whatever would help me.. I was complaining of the migraines to my grandma and she told me to just hold some apple cider vinegar up to my nose and smell it. And i was like what the hell? But I tried it and it worked. so there you go. try it.

yep, salt works for me, salty crisps or something with salt in it, drugs dont solve anything like at all, except for how to make drug dealers richer…check out drug free international and their unite agaisnt drugs campaign for more information on drugs and their uselessness…
