What’s the difference between pimples and acne?

acne
Steve[n] asked:

I got rid of most of my acne using St.Ive’s apricot scrub thingy. Now I’m using it for my pimples, and it’s working, but much slower than the acne. What is the difference between pimples and acne, and is there a way to get rid of pimples faster?

pimples are individual breakouts where as if you get alot of them and they keep coming back, that is acne.

Pimples are little red puffy things. Acne is a plethora of pimples.

    pimples– small
    acne– big, pop-able
Best way is to just abstain from oily/sugary foods, chips, candy, soda, etc.
    GOod luck!

i always thought pimple or zit referred to a single blemish while acne referred a more widespread “breaking out”

Ance is everything on ur face overall that you get from grease and oil..and pimples are one specific “ball” of oil and dirt under the thing layer of skin.
Use a bar of soap that is “skin sensitive” so it’ll take off most oil and dirt. Wash ur face everyday, once in the morning and once at night.

Pimples are just one infection of a single pore.

Acne is numerous infections in multiple pores.

Because pimples are a single infection, they are worse infections than acne itself which is why it takes long to rid yourself of them.

Just keep doing what you’re doing and you’ll look great!
And whatever you do, DON’T pick you pimples……it will leave a scar.

acne is when you have a lot of pimples, black heads, or white heads.

Wash you face twice a day but no more than that.

Pimples are periodic, and acne is a cronic condition. If you just break out every so often, then It is pimples, but if you STAY broke out it is considered acne. hope this helps.

There’s no difference between acne, pimples, zits, etc. They’re different words but they’re the same thing!
What you might be thinking of is acne versus nodular or cystic. They’re the ones that hurt or just don’t go away as easy.
For more serious acne, which is nodular or cystic, you should see a dermatologist. (see webmd link)
I see one every month. You’ll get antibiotics and creams. If you’re really special, you’ll get microdermabrassions or laser treatment.
I recommend that you use tea tree oil. Check out the following community:

there is no difference between pimples and acne because there both the same. acne is just alot of pimples together. but to get rid of them use proactiv, face mask scrub, or clean and clear. either of those would probably work. if they dont, ask a doctor to recommend something for u
