Try Oxy Pads (2%Salicylic Acid). They worked for me. They costs 10$ Canadian, you can buy from most drug stores or pharmacies. Oxy pads fight acne, get rid of dry skin, make your skin most natural and reduces redness. It also makes your skin very soft. It cured my acne in about 5-6 weeks, i’m not sure how bad yours is so i can’t really say. About the honey mask, leave on for about 20-30min should be fine.
Hope this helped, Good luck getting of your acne.
Try this. You need rubbing alcohol, cotton ball, wash clothe, and your sink. Put a hot wash clothe over your face for a couple of seconds and remove. Put a little, not saturated, alcohol on the cotton ball and rub it gentle on your face. Be sure not to get to close to the eyes and mouth. You may feel some burning, but it will go away. Get your wash clothe wet with cold water and put it on your face for a few seconds to close the pores.
Do this daily till your face starts to clear up and then do it once a week.
The cost is about $2.00 for both the alcohol and cotton balls.
Hannah,
It sounds like you need to get yourself on a proper acne treatment. A treatment that consists of cleansing, a acne fighting cream or gel, and a proper moisturizer. You need to use this treatment twice a day. Once in the morning, and once at night-time. This helps to keep your acne under control, and your face clear.
(1) Cleansing – Cleansing helps to remove any impurities such as surface oil that may be lingering on your skin, which helps contributes to acne. A gentle face wash also helps prepare your skin for your acne fighting cream or gel. A nice cleanser to use is Cetaphil’s Gentle Skin Cleanser. You can find this at your local drug-store.
(2) Treating – There are many gels and creams out there that can help get rid of acne. However, the best treatment is a 2.5% strength Benzoyl Peroxide cream or gel, although gel seems to be better. It is very important when you first start out that you do not use too much! Start off with small amounts, to see how your skin will react. A little burning and stinging and itching is normal. If your skin doesn’t seem to be overly sensitive, use a little more after two weeks. Gradually increase the amount, but do not go over-board! You’ll know if you do if your skin starts to burn, and itch or peel. If Benzoyl Peroxide is too harsh for your skin, Salicylic Acid is another good choice. Make sure to massage the gel and cream gently and slowly into your skin. Do not rub it hard or fast against your skin.
Wait 10 minutes before the next step, so your cream/gel has had time to sink into your skin.
(3) Moisturizing – VERY important! Acne fighting creams/gels tend to dry out your skin. If you do not moisturize, it is likely your skin will be dry, and it may start to flake or peel – which isn’t very nice. Your skin will try to produce more oil if your skin is dry, in an attempt to put moisture back into this skin. This can result in more acne. If you moisturize, you will avoid dry skin as well as your skin from over-producing oil. Again, be gentle when you are putting it on, and slowly massage it in to your skin to let it absorb properly. A good moisturizer is Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion. In the summer, you can also use their Daily Facial Moisturizer with SPF 15 or SPF 50, to help protect your skin against sun damage.
Before you start this routine, make sure to wash your hands before you cleanse, and before you moisturize. Make sure you use a clean face cloth to GENTLY pat your face with after you cleanse, do not rub the towel into your skin. If you use benzoyl peroxide, your skin becomes sensitive to the sun and burns more easily, so it is important to wear sun protection.
Other tips are keeping your hands AWAY from your face. Do NOT pick at your acne, it results in scarring – which does not go away unless you get expensive treatment. But even with that sometimes, it never goes away. Or you can get red or dark marks, which can sometimes take months to fade/heal.
Other tips:
- If your hair is greasy, pull it back away from your face. Also keep your hair out of your face while you are active.
- Try and change your pillow case every week.
- Avoid using heavy liquid foundation on your face.
- Make sure you get good amounts of sleep

Smear some tea tree oil on the scar regularly to help it heal faster. More such solutions at http://usefulinfo-acne.blogspot.com/
hon, hear out a teenage girl that’s been though acne, being overweight, and getting braces soon. it’s long, but worth every word. (here’s a clearsil coupon–if anything, you REALLY need to buy this: http://www.clearasil.us/promos/#)
WARNING: we live in reality. these products were made by mortals, for mortals; they aren’t some miracle cream invented by god. they do NOT work miracles, though they do work. give them some time. the key is to be realistic, not pessimistic.
what you need to do is this:
1. wash: the key ingredient is 2% salicylic acid. (if you have no idea where to start, neutrogena is a good start: $6-8 @ drugstores)
2. tone: the key ingredient is 2% salicylic acid (only neutrogena’s “clear pore” toner has salicylic acid that i know of: $6-7 @ drugstores)
3. apply an acne cream that has 10% salicylic acid (clearasil is a good choice–$9-11 @ drugstores)
4. moisturize: if you have oily skin, ALWAYS look for the “oil-free” label. don’t see it, don’t buy it. if you have dry skin, then go for the sensitive/dry skin formulas. (don’t know what you have? just google it!) (clinique, H20~+, aveeno is a good choice: look @ sephora)
hon, no matter what society tells you, what the magazines say, what the runways show, don’t ever let it hurt you. don’t look in the mirror and ask youself, “Why am i so ugly?! Why do i have acne?! Why won’t these scars go away?! I look like a freak today, like i always do, 365 days a year.”
cause u kno what? you can do all the plastic surgery you want. spend all the money on botox, eye creams, make up, cover up, and you can keep on going until you’re the grandmother with the boob implant. fun, right?
you can also hide in your closet until you pass puberty. never see light again because no guy will ever like you. because you CAN NOT be seen w/ that zit on your face. because of that huge acne scar. that’s what ruined the school picture. that’s what ruined the date, and that stupid french fry you ate killed prom because you gained wieght, & you broke out.
you can get on the scale every day and get off unhappy, asking urself why you didn’t loose any weight when you’ve been “dieting” (the real name for it was “starving”) for an entire month. you can hate on what the mirror shows you for the rest of your life.
but you kno what hon? that’s not what’s gonna get you through life. your boobs will not get you a good education, a nice boyfriend, or a good job. your clear face will not score you the perfect prom, or get your crush to notice you. the number on the scale doesn’t help you through the breakups and the makeups. it doesn’t help anything. but u know that it CAN do? it can make you mizerable like how i was.
BE the overweight girl on the beach w/ the two piece on. she doesn’t care what you think. she doesn’t care what i think. she only knows that she’s beautiful, she has a RIGHT to the beach, she has the RIGHT to be happy with who she is, and she IS beauty. because self confidence is what makes you beautiful. don’t be a hyprocrite–see the beauty in yourself too! those toothpick like model’s didn’t inherit it–they’re beautiful because they KNOW THEY ARE. it’s time to really SEE what your mirror shows–don’t just LOOK–see!!
Here are a few tips that will help you know how to treat acne at home.
1. If you have red angry looking acne, don’t touch it. If you squeeze now, all you’ll do is force the contents deeper into the skin that will make matters worst. And all you’ll end up with is redder, angrier acne than you had before. Don’t do it.
2. If you have a yellow custard top? Go for it. These beauties CAN be squeezed but there’s an art to it. Here’s how. Wash your hands thoroughly to avoid trouble and infection. Put a tissue over your finger. Why? Because you want the contents of the spot on the tissue, not splattered all over the mirror. Using the side of your thumb and the end of your finger, very gently start to squeeze. Don’t whatever you do, use your nails as this will damage your skin. Stop when you’re applying a lot of pressure and nothing is happening and you see clear fluid, rather than yellow grotty stuff and the spot begins to bleed. When you’ve finished dab it with antiseptic. Once the custard bit is out, the spot will heal more quickly than an unsqueezed yellow top would, providing that you now leave it well alone. Now wash your hands again.
3. Whiteheads and blackheads. If acne is left untreated they may cause this problem. Here the rule is if they’re black, squeeze but if they’re small, white raised lumps leave them alone. All that stuff about clean hands, tissues and stopping if nothing is happening or you see blood, apply here too.

Hi
There is no one answer for this question but from my experience if you really want to get rid of your acne there are two recommended solutions that should combined together for best results.
Firstly and more important, you must learn how you should fix the internal problem that’s causing your acne, not just masking the symptoms or getting relief.
There are only few recommended Ebooks and acne cure programs that can teach you exactly how to treat your acne from the inside.
Where medicine has failed them the authors have done their own research and found a way to overcome acne. In their programs they share their valuable knowledge with other acne sufferers. In any case, be very careful because many of them are pure crap with little value.
Check this article about one of the leading systems today that was helpful for me to cure my acne:
http://www.squidoo.com/Acne-No-More-Ebook-Review/
The second thing that you need to do is to get good acne skin product that will be suitable for your skin.
There are hundreds of acne skin care products available in the market right now and it’s not easy to choose the product that will give you the best results.
When choosing your product make sure to check that you get at least 2 months full guarantee. Some of the big names in the industry are:
ClearPores, Acuzine, Acnezine, Vilante, Dermology and some others.
I personally used the Clearpores cleansing system and was very satisfied with the results. You can find a lot more about Clearpores and their special offers here:

I hope that these tips will help you to get rid of your acne, good luck!
Do you have acne? That must be hard. But wait – there is still
hope.
Read the following tips for getting rid of that problem:
1. Eat more fresh fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds. You can
easily create juices and smoothies using ripe fruit or consume one
salad daily, even as just a side dish. You can also pop in nuts
and dried fruits in between meals.
Brazil nuts have selenium while pumpkin seeds contain zinc – both
these minerals are lacking in people with acne. So take in lots of
these two.
2. Try to drink at least two liters of still mineral water
daily. When the skin is dehydrated, dead skin cells remain on the
skin which may block pores and promote acne.
3. If you have been prescribed antibiotics to control your
acne, remember that antibiotics destroy all kinds of bacteria in
your digestive tract – even good bacteria. Without good bacteria,
you will have poor digestion, constipation, and be less able to
absorb essential vitamins, minerals and nutrients.
This, in turn, may lead to increased acne production since your
body cannot expel waste effectively. Toxins pass through your skin
instead. To prevent this from occurring, replace the good bacteria
in your digestive tract with a good quality probiotic.
4. You may try consuming some supplements since your diet may
not incorporate every vitamin, mineral and nutrient necessary to
getting and keeping clear skin. Some supplements are really
helpful to people with acne, such as:
o Maca – This is a powdered root vegetable from Peru that
balances and stabilizes the systems of your body while normalizing
hormones. Maca also has a lot of essential amino acids,
phytochemicals, fatty acids, and minerals such as iodine, silica,
potassium, iron, magnesium and calcium.
o Manuka honey – This one possesses strong antibiotic,
antiviral and antiseptic elements. It is great for the skin, as
well as for digestive disorders.
5. Rely only on natural skin-care products. Many skin-care
products on supermarket shelves have chemicals which can worsen
your acne. Too many chemicals can strip your skin of its natural
oils, meaning the skin will overproduce oil to compensate – thus
blocking your pores and causing more acne to show up.
Use only products with natural ingredients or try to use fewer
products to allow your skin to naturally heal.
Should you wear makeup, use formulas that are listed as
non-acnegenic or non-comedogenic.
Some products you can use are:
o Tea tree oil body wash – This product can be used for the
entire body, including the face.
o Tea tree oil – This product has antiseptic, antiviral and
antibacterial functions. It is remarkable for use by acne
sufferers. Use a cotton bud to apply this product to the acne
blemishes.
o Neem soap – This product is very good for acne victims due
to its antiparasitic, anti-inflammatory, anti-fungal, anti-viral
and antibacterial properties. It also calms and soothes irritated
skin.
6. Cut down on stress as this acts as one of the strongest
precursors of acne, especially after puberty. There are different
ways you can reduce stress and aim for relaxation:
o Exercise – Moderate exercise such as Yoga and Tai Chi
improve skin blood flow and support the healing process. It also
boosts the condition of your internal organs which allows them to
eliminate waste more effectively.
o Try relaxation techniques including meditation and
breathing exercises.
7. Cut down on your consumption of sugar and refined
carbohydrates. Recent research has shown that eating these foods
triggers a process which leads to a production of too many male
hormones. In turn, the skin is moved to excrete huge amounts of
sebum which fosters the increase in skin bacteria – that triggers
acne.
8. Lessen your consumption of caffeine because it hikes the
level of stress hormones in the body, thus making acne worse.
9. Cut down on dairy and red meat products because these are
difficult to digest and raise acid levels in the body. As you try
to digest huge amounts of animal protein in your internal organs,
your body cannot eliminate waste products well and these will be
released through the skin – causing acne.
In addition, dairy and red meat have huge amounts of hormones.
These raise the hormone levels in the body and trigger even more
acne. Furthermore, symptoms of intolerance to dairy products can
crop up as acne.
10. Get plenty of sunshine and fresh air. Sunshine triggers the
production of Vitamin D which is essential to having healthy skin.
Fresh air and sunshine will cut down on your stress levels and
course oxygen through the skin. Learn to tell the amount of
sunshine you need every day though, it does not help to get burnt
in the sun.
Go to a dermotolagist, get an allergy test, and stop drinking milk. Milk and oranges aggrivate my acne. acne is often linked to a developed food allergy during puberty.
for scars a cheap derma roller and vitamin e oil will work. And increase your sinc intake it will stop scars from forming.
